Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is an Inazuma drum filter and how does it work?

An Inazuma drum filter is a drum filter from the company Inazuma, which is a leader in the field of drum filter technology. A drum filter is a self-cleaning filter system. In a drum filter, the dirty water enters the inside of the drum. There it has to pass through a fine mesh which retains the smallest dirt particles. As soon as the mesh is too dirty, the filter notices this due to the change in the water level and carries out a flushing process. During the rinsing process, a water pressure pump is switched on which sprays water onto the drum from the outside via several nozzles. There is then a dirt channel inside the drum which collects the dirt from the fabric. During the process, the drum rotates so that the fabric is cleaned all around. Once the rinsing process is complete, the drum and rinsing pump are switched off until the appropriate amount of dirt has accumulated and then the whole process is repeated.

For which pond size is the Inazuma drum filter suitable?

Inazuma offers different sized systems for every pond size. You will find the corresponding specifications for each system in our store.

How often do I need to clean the Inazuma drum filter?

Never, as the system cleans itself when necessary. However, it is recommended that a service is carried out once a year to descale and clean the fabric.

What are the main advantages of a drum filter compared to conventional filters?

The filter system has proven itself in clarification technology for decades. The filter cleans itself as required and also removes the dirt via a dirt channel. This saves you a lot of time and effort and allows you to devote yourself to more enjoyable things than filter cleaning.
