Description / pH Plus 1 kg Powder for Koi Ponds and Garden Ponds
pH Plus 1 kg powder for stable pond water values
A pH value that is too low can put significant stress on koi, other pond fish and aquatic plants. The situation becomes particularly critical when the carbonate hardness is also too low. In this case, the pond water has reduced buffering capacity and the pH value can become unstable or drop suddenly.
pH Plus helps raise the pH value in koi ponds and garden ponds gradually and in a controlled manner. This supports more stable water values and creates better conditions for fish, plants and filter biology.
For raising low pH values
pH Plus is used when the pH value in the pond falls below the recommended range. In koi ponds and garden ponds, an ideal pH range is generally between 6.5 and 8.0. The powder form makes the product easy to dose and suitable for targeted water care.
Before every application, the current pH value and carbonate hardness should be measured. Carbonate hardness plays an important role in stabilising the pH value and helps prevent sudden fluctuations.
Dosage and application
With a carbonate hardness of at least 8° KH, the recommended dosage is 100 g of pH Plus per 10 m³ of pond water. This increases the pH value by approximately 0.1.
The pH value should always be raised gradually, ideally over several days. This gives koi, plants and filter biology time to adapt to the changed water conditions. After adding the product, ensure good water circulation and measure the values again before applying another dose.
Benefits of pH Plus
- raises low pH values in a controlled way
- helps stabilise pond water values
- supports a balanced koi pond environment
- helps prevent a dangerous pH crash
- easy to dose as a powder
- suitable for koi ponds and garden ponds
- ideal for targeted pond water care
Important application note

pH Plus should only be used after checking the current water values. Always measure both pH and carbonate hardness before application. A rapid change in pH can stress koi and other pond fish, so the value should be adjusted step by step and monitored regularly.
