A pond pump should be cleaned at least once a year. To do this, the pump is disconnected from the power supply, dismantled and the rotor removed. The inside of the pump is descaled and cleaned. If the water is very calcareous, more frequent cleaning is necessary. After refilling the pond, cleaning is recommended after a month, as soon as the limescale precipitation is complete.
